Hi folks,
Last night we received the following errors to consumer Hotmail.com and Live.nl addresses:
KumoMTA internal: failed to connect to any candidate hosts: connect to 52.101.11.11:25 and read initial banner: timeout after 60s while performing proxy handshake with 10.xxx.xxx.100:1080 Socks5 { server: 10.xxx.xxx.100:1080, source: 155.xxx.xxx.xxx, destination: 52.101.11.11:25, username_and_password: None }, connect to 52.101.42.12:25 and read initial banner: timeout after 60s while performing proxy handshake with 10.xxx.xxx.100:1080 Socks5 { server: 10.xxx.xxx.100:1080, source: 155.xxx.xxx.xxx, destination: 52.101.42.12:25, username_and_password: None }, connect to 52.101.41.184:25 and read initial banner: timeout after 60s while performing proxy handshake with 10.xxx.xxx.100:1080 Socks5 { server: 10.xxx.xxx.100:1080, source: 155.xxx.xxx.xxx, destination: 52.101.41.184:25, username_and_password: None }, connect to 52.101.8.37:25 and read initial banner: timeout after 60s while performing proxy handshake with 10.xxx.xxx.100:1080 Socks5 { server: 10.xxx.xxx.100:1080, source: 155.xxx.xxx.xxx, destination: 52.101.8.37:25, username_and_password: None }
Odd thing was, the proxy was function all fine. We were able to still send email to other addresses. As we’re still fairly new to KumoMTA, I just wanted to check if this is something that went wrong on our side, or MS had a hiccup. And for next time, what options do we have to investigate something like this?
It were only 3 mails, all to the same “account” but different domain, probably a user trying out the Outlook domains for their own account.
