@faithful-ostrich sorry can you elaborate please?
I’d recommend not defining a should_enqueue_log_record event handler. The log_hooks:new stuff takes care of it for you.
@free-spirited-yorksh yeah I removed it, but doesn’t help - same thing with the multiple webhooks
I don’t really see anything “wrong” with the log you shared. These are all separate events. Some are receptions, some are deliveries and some oare rejections. They have widely different timestamps. They seem to be a group of test messages from “sender”: “test@erlangjobs.com”, to recipient “recipient”: “kazanlug@gmail.com”, with different IDs and different payload sizes.
Are you sure you dont have some script running a loop of test mail to this?
I do see one issue near the end of that log:
"content": "Syntax error in command or arguments: --> 1:1 | 1 | Host: 18.190.164.191:25 | ^--- | = expected mail, rcpt, ehlo, helo, data, rset, quit, vrfy, expn, help, noop, starttls, or auth",
But again that seems self explanatory
Yeah, the issue is - these events are looping after each API based send. And even if I put print statements inside ‘function connection:send(message)’ I see bunch of messages printing. So basically I feel like somehow MTA is sending the same events (stored somewhere) again and again. Just like a magic…

If these were repeated internal rejections, or even something that looked like a mail-loop then I’d have an easy answer for you. But these don’t look like a repeated message. They look like a series of the same set of messages. We don’t store messages after a delivery so this seems really odd.
Without a deeper look I am not sure we can help much. I think this is going to end up being something in your Lua logic. If you would like me to take a deeper look I can, but it would be paid PS hours to mock it up, run tests and find a solution.
@faithful-ostrich question about this - for RabbitMQ, when I’m consuming messages should I somehow ‘tell’ that message was consumed? Anything should I send in that case, or setup on KumoMTA side? Thanks
RabbitMQ ( or webhooks, or Kafka…) log shipping is all handled in the same way. and they are treated mostly like any other message. events are logged in the normal logs for these. Here is a TSA delivery report as an example:
