I am getting an error from Google for the PTR records issue for a few IPs.
My question will be this issue from my hosting providers or from the kumo end.

Hey there @passionate-joey, thanks for posting. Please read the “Troubleshooting” and “How to Ask for Help” buttons below. If you would like a 1:1 support session from the KumoMTA team, details are at the “Book a Support Session” button below.
It’s about DNS records, at hosting provider level. You need to have at least the reverse DNS set, for the sending IP. In the management panel, of the hosting provider, where you have the sending IP configured, you should be able to set the rDNS to point to the sending domain, also on sending domain hosting you should be able to set a forward DNS record, pointing to the sending IP.
It’s already been set, I am getting this error from gmail since morning with a minimal bounce rate
And you checked and the PTR record points to the same hostname as the A record for the IP?
yes
All the records are proper
If something like MXtoolbox shows matching A and PTR records, you may have a false positive, watch and wait.
Can I reprocess those bounce mails, using smtp rewrite function??
Yes, change them to 4xx.
to change the status code so that they can be reprocess?
Does kumo mta reprocess them??
None that have already bounced.
So how can we reprocess them?? because smtp rewrite works on transient failure, please correct my understanding
SMTP rewrite can change a temporary to a permanent or a permanent to a temporary, it’s just how you write the rules.
Ok thank you for the information, let’s implement the changes and check..
