Delivery time greater than 10sec

Can you please help me resolve the issue when I am sending the email of size greater than 1 MB it taking approx 10-17 sec to deliver, I want to minimize that deliver time, please suggest the way to do that?

Hey there @youthful-zorse, thanks for posting. Please read the “Troubleshooting” and “How to Ask for Help” buttons below. If you would like a 1:1 support session from the KumoMTA team, details are at the “Book a Support Session” button below.

What is the network connectivity of the server, and how many of these messages are you sending at once? Is this when sending to a local sink, or across the WAN?

If this happens when sending to a local sink we can look at the server, but if this delivers quickly to a local sink then you need to evaluate your network. Also most operators are not concerned with sub twenty second deliveries, even of smaller messages. What is the concern with that latency?

As when I am sending the bulk mails, with the attachment of greater than 1MB then it showing the latency of delivery, but when I am routing those mails to SES it is getting delivered within 2-3 seconds and that is my concerns.

I am using AWS server connectivity, I am sending more that 800 emails as of now and going to increase the traffic gradually as I am introducing my IP’s over here. This issue is happening when I am sending the traffic to the ISP like gmail and yahoo.

If they route quickly to SES and not to Gmail and Yahoo then you do not have a KumoMTA issue. Yahoo and Gmail are limiting the bandwidth they are letting an individual remote host send at.

So, I need to wait that us to recognize that mail from my IP’s ?

You need to accept that they decide how fast you will deliver.

That may or may not get faster in the future, that is their decision.

ok understood, let me monitor those email on the daily let see if the delivery time can get minimize.
